Homecoming

It’s been
months
since his last touch,
she stews
in sweet memory
As each new
sunshine
adds more
to long for

Winter’s
white velvety cloak
finally yields
to red balloons
smoked meats,
and opening of casks
upon first sighting
in the Foothills
