  1. Quite a surprise ending, but I was glad to find it, as I was beginning to get confused upon finding out that “her father” and “the old man” were not one and the same. Very good rendering of emotions.

      • I’m also convinced that most murder mysteries and other detective stories are written backwards chronologically. It’s easy to write the rest of the story when you already know “whodunit”.
